Monte Ventoso (windy mountain in Italian), is a beautiful Italian villa in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Central Virginia. Built as a family home, it was recently converted into a luxury AirBnB and events venue!
With Monte Ventoso sitting at around 3000 square feet
including the 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, Monte Ventoso provides the perfect
atmosphere for anything from a weekend away for two, a garden party, or
family vacation, all the way to a private business retreat or full blown
wedding. Spacious and removed from the hustle of the city, it truly is
a piece of Italy in Virginia's backyard.
Branding needed to look like it was ready to go straight on to a wine label, yet modern enough to compete with airbnb and other online booking services. This was the task we were challenged with when initiating the brand for Monte Ventoso. We went with a serif font for the logo, but kept all the body and header font as a sans-serif to give it the modern edge. We also did our best to fill the website with classic colors like white and charcoal, but use splashes of colors that were from the house itself like bronze or yellow.

With airbnb as the main competitor, Monte Ventoso needed to ramp up their SEO game as well as web performance so they could rank against the competition. Not only did they want to get people in the door for overnight stays, but they also wanted to book as many weddings as possible to grow it as an events venue as well. With these two goals in mind, going with Webflow was an easy choice. It gave us the ease of use we needed as well as the performance and flexibility necessary for this project. Drive people toward the website instead of airbnb was a clear goal that we had fun hitting.
